My Easter Lesson!

Tomorrow I need to teach the Easter Lesson and I was VERY excited to see this post on Sugardoodle.net. I give them all the credit for the content of the handouts, I basically copied much of what they had already. I changed them into 4x6 prints so that I could easily send the print job to costco. Then, I just tied them together with a ribbon to give to the girls. It is a little more expensive to print these, but I figured it was worth the "splurge" because Easter is such an important holiday! I am going to go over the points on each card. I printed 8x10 pictures of certain items to hang on the chalkboard (palm leaves, a stack of silver, etc.) just to make it more interesting for them to look at...

**Update Feb 24, 2013... I have made it so you can easily download these original files from here:  CLICK HERE
I am sticking this back to the top of my blog because many people tried to use this lesson but were unable to download it easier with good quality last Easter!

If you have problems, you can always email me...

After I go through the week before Christ's crucifxtion, I am going to show this video that I downloaded...

Lastly, I plan to end with pointing out to the girls that they now know what Christ has done for us, what will we do for him?  Was it all for nothing?  And then I am going to bear my testimony of Christ.

  2. I was led to your blog page by chance. But of course, it wasn't just by chance. I was looking for something with a deeper impact, a visual, and something that each Young Woman could treasure as she worked to developed a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your time and talents, and study, in assembling this. I will be able to take it and with the Spirit, give a lasting lesson on Easter Sunday.

  5. Hi,
This is really beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I am new in the YW and get to teach the Easter lesson. I would love to do this one for the girls, but dragging them to my desktop and then opening them, doesn't work. It doesn't download the picture in all of its pixels. When I opened them in my iphoto, they are not clear. 4x6 is already too big for what the computer lets me open them as. Would you be able to send these as files to my email, please? Downloading them will work. Thank you so much!

  29. Thank you so much for sharing this. Ist there any way I can get the entire lesson emailed as an attachment? Saving to the computer only copies them to a small size, and when printed to a bigger size it's all blurry. I would love to be able to use this lesson for our Young Women. Also Day 2 "Cleansing the temple", half of the writing is covered by the picture of the temple. Is there any way of getting that to where the rest of the writing shows? I would appreciate any help you could give me in getting this emailed to me so that I could use it. It would just be sooo awesome and so appreciated! Thank you so very much! sherristrad@aol.com

  38. I just realized there are several comments on here requesting my actual lesson. I actually just went over the cards and asked the girls to bear testimony of each event. It wasn't very "scripted" because I wanted to work more on the spirit.

  46. This is too funny, Shyloh....I'm in the Young Women Presidency again, and our YW president brought a print out of your "He Sent His Son" handout and asked me if I could do something like that for our YW this Sunday. Lol, I looked at it, and said, "Hey...that's my WordArt design...I should be able to handle it." Funny that it ended up being something that you'd posted, and that I actually KNOW you. Anyway, thanks for the handout idea :)
