Fun Christmas gift idea for YW Leaders

My Stake YW Presidency brings me a Papa Murphy's Pizza every year along with this darling poem:
Here are the words just in case you aren't Superwoman!

‘Twas the month of December,
and all through the Stake,
The Presidents were busy,
with much on their plates.

There was shopping and wrapping
and lessons to teach,
And follow-up phone calls
to those hard to reach!

We think you’re the greatest
and love you so much.
We know of your service
and the lives that you touch.

When your schedule gets hectic
and creates quite a fuss,
Just sit back and breathe,
Cuz your dinner’s on us!

Happy Holidays!
Thanks for all you do.

I am not sure if they made up this poem or found it somewhere but I absolutely love it!  I changed it a little to fit giving it to my leaders this year!

‘Twas the month of December,
and all through the ward,
Young Women leaders were busy,
extra time they could not afford.

There was shopping and wrapping
and lessons to teach,
And follow-up phone calls
to those hard to reach!
We think you’re the greatest
and love you so much.
We know of your service
and the lives that you touch.

When your schedule gets hectic
and creates quite a fuss,
Just sit back and breathe,
Cuz your dinner’s on us!

Happy Holidays!
Thanks for all you do.
Love, Shyloh, Cami, Julia & Cassi

I am the most excited to have a new spark of creativity with fun handouts!  I'm going to try to post 4 per month so check them out soon!  I will TRY to get them all out within the first 2 weeks of the month... it should be interesting to see how consistent I am :)

Christmas Handout

This Sunday, we are doing a Christmas lesson and this is the handout we are attaching to a candle.  You can just send it to Costco and then cut them apart if you use this 4x6 version!  I am going to attach it in its original size so all you have to do is click on it.  When it opens in the new window you would either right click and save it to your PC or drag it to your desktop on your Mac!

The darling Christmas design was a digi design by Fayette at Pickleberry Pop HERE.

Manual 1 Lesson 42 Courage to Try Handout

I thought I would share this handout with you!  It is for the Courage to try lesson.  I got the idea to use Red from a handout idea on Sugardoodle.net and just enhanced it a little.  You can print this on 4x6 pictures and then just cut it in half!  Loving those $.16 pictures from Costco!  You can click on the image and then save it to your computer.  I have attached it in its original size here:
I used THIS DIGI KIT to make this handout.  Check it out, super cute Christmas papers and embellishments!

Dr. Seuss YW in Excellence

This year, we are doing our YW in Excellence as Dr. Seuss!  I will share more pictures as we complete them.  The first idea is our cute invite, here it is!
You can get this invite on Etsy HERE and they will email it to you all ready to print!

**Updated 08-21-2013** I wish I was able to take more pictures of the actual event but I was so overwhelmed with serving food that I didn't get any!  But, here is a summary of what we did:

Each table was a different value color.  For the center pieces I got a scalloped frame and mod podged cute scrapbook paper the color of each value.  The frames looked a little like this one....
You can get this frame at Poppyseed Projects
Then, I put quotes from different Dr. Seuss books in the frames.  I found quotes to match the different values!  Pinterest has a TON you can find :)  I got 3 fresh flowers the color of each value to put on each table and the center pieces were done!  (Of course the plates and paper goods were all matching).

For my talk, I spoke about the places we can go and the things that would try to make it hard for us to accomplish personal progress but if we stick with it we can do amazing things because of it!

I am so sorry I don't have much more :(  Hope you can enjoy your night of excellence!

Halloween Activity

Next week we are going to go "Reverse Trick or Treating" for our activity!  I thought you would appreciate  copy of what we are doing!  We are going to knock on doors and leave families glow bracelets for the kids with this fun note!  I had typed in "D5 Young Women" on mine but left this one blank for you!  We just printed them at Costco on 4x6 photos and cut them in half!  Here is the file in it's original size.  You just click on it and then right click and save it to your PC or click on it and drag it to your desktop on your Mac!
I bought this darling scrapbook kit HERE if you would like to download the whole thing to enjoy!

Easter Handout ideas

Happy Easter!  My awesome Mia Maid advisor is going to be giving an incredible "Silent" Easter Lesson today.  I offered to help her with the handouts (the easy part) and thought I would share them with you!

Here is a handout I made to give at the end of the lesson.  We are going to give the girls some time to reflect and write their testimony/feelings of Christ at the end:
to get this in it's original size (landscape 8.5x11) Click on the image below so it opens in it's own window.  Then on the Mac, you will just drag it to your desktop.  For a PC, right click and save it!
We also made this handout.  She made awesome yummy rolls and I made this tag and then wrapped them in a cello bag:
Here it is in a 8.5x11 format.  I printed it on blue paper which was a fun way to make it look more like Spring!
